How often should hair be washed?
The number of weekly hair washes should be evaluated based on the hair type. For dry or normal hair, at least one wash per week is recommended, while for oily hair, 2 or 3 washes are acceptable, provided that the most suitable shampoo type for the hair is chosen.
Does hair need to be cut often?
In case of split ends or damaged hair, it is advisable to trim the hair to strengthen it or prevent split ends from extending to the entire length of the hair. Clearly, if you want a hairstyle that lasts longer, it’s better to revise the cut within a timeframe of 45 to 90 days to prevent it from becoming heavy.
Can hair be dyed after getting a perm?
Hair that has already been treated with a perm can be safely dyed, but it would be advisable to wait 15 days between coloring and perming to avoid excessively stressing and weakening the hair.
Does chlorine-rich pool water cause hair loss?
Absolutely not! The chlorine present in swimming pools is not responsible for hair loss. This doesn’t mean it has no effects on our hair: it certainly causes a weakening of the hair itself and the formation of split ends.
There are many methods to protect hair from chlorine before immersing in water. For example, apply an oil-based spray or mask along the entire length of the hair, capable of creating a protective film on the hair and thus protecting it from the harmful action of chlorine.
